+ Software Developer

Wize Solutions, a Southwest Virginia-based IT services company supporting major technology corporations, has openings for intermediate and senior software developers.

Responsibilities

Work with remote clients and virtual project teams performing one or more of the following

  • Software development
  • Software/application integration
  • Data integration and migration

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field and experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and systems. Experience with object-oriented programming languages like Java, scripting languages like Python, or web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems like Salesforce

+ Software Quality Engineer

Wize Solutions, a software services company supporting major corporations, has openings for junior, intermediate, and senior software developers.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the development team to ensure software effectiveness and quality
  • Design software test plans, cases, and scripts that provide comprehensive test coverage
  • Schedule and execute test cycles
  • Use requirements documentation and other specifications to create test scenarios that serve as acceptance criteria for the software product
  • Document and report software defects using defect tracking system
  • Manage defect reporting using defect tracking tools
  • Produce test summary reports
  • Incorporate methodologies that exercise system, integration and boundary testing
  • Ensure traceability between software development products including requirements, designs, test plans and test procedures
  • Serve as the "quality advocate" for your functional component area
  • Assist in the deployment of all product releases and patches
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of production related client issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, information Systems, or related field
  • Experience testing software applications and systems.

Responsibilities Work with remote clients and virtual project teams performing one or more of the following

  • Lead ETL and data migration activities
  • Design and create ETL processes for continuous data integration
  • Analyze source and target data models and accurately identify differences and similarities
  • Perform Data Profiling, Quality Assessment, and Data Cleansing
  • Continually improve the process of data conversion, migration, and integration from legacy systems
  • Share knowledge and prepare high quality documentation
  • Close attention to detail to ensure integrity and quality of data processes

+ Project Manager

Wize Solutions, a Southwest Virginia-based IT services company supporting major technology corporations, has openings for intermediate and senior project managers.

Responsibilities Working with remote clients and virtual project teams, oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract. Responsibilities may include developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.

Wize Solutions, a Southwest Virginia-based IT services company supporting major technology corporations, has openings for intermediate and senior web administrators.

Responsibilities Works with remote clients and virtual project teams maintaining internal/external company web site content. Work may include reformatting text, assuring hyperlink integrity, file transfer, and translation and posting of new material to the page involving HTML scripting. Compiles, analyzes and reports statistics regarding “hits” to the website. Assists in maintaining security processes and procedures. May answer questions from site visitors or redirect messages to appropriate person(s). May conduct online technology research. May also heavily interact with other departments in the maintenance of their web-page material.

Responsibilities Works with remote clients and virtual project teams designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging, configuring and maintaining website(s) for internal and external communications for the company and/or for external customers and clients. Ensures website(s) is/are available to the desired audience with appropriate links and security. Develops, assesses and communicates website usage and security policies and procedures. Designs web page layout, graphics, color schemes and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive website based on the organization's communications strategies and goals.
